About the Client

Grungfos Solar Connect is a smart water monitoring system created by Grundfos. It helps people on remote farms - especially cattle stations - keep track of their water pumps and tank levels, even when they’re far from any mobile network. The system uses satellites to send real-time updates to the farmer’s phone or tablet, so they always know how their water supply is doing.

The Problem in Remote Water Management

Grundfos needed a way to make their Solar Connect system easy to use for people working in very remote areas. The problem was:

• Farmers often don’t know when pumps stop working, leading to water shortages for livestock.

• Manually checking remote water tanks and pumps takes a lot of time, fuel, and effort.

Grundfos requested Whitefox to build a user-friendly mobile app that would connect to their satellite-based monitoring system and turn technical data into simple, clear updates for the user.

Our Approach & Implementation

Whitefox developed the Solar Connect app, which:

• Connects to satellites via Myriota - so it works even without mobile or internet coverage.

• Shows live data about pump performance, water levels, and tank status.

• Sends alerts if anything goes wrong- like water running low or a pump fault.

• Lets users see historical trends to plan better and fix small issues before they become big problems.

The Outcome for Farmers
